Terms & conditions
These terms explain the simple rules for using Floop.
1. What Floop is
Floop is a multiplayer card game. You can create or join a temporary room using a short room code. Floop does not require a separate account or password for ordinary play.
Room codes are shareable. Do not use a room code to share information that must remain confidential.
2. Rooms and reconnecting
Rooms, reconnect sessions and game state are temporary. When a room has had no connected players for 24 hours, its temporary room data is normally removed. If you deliberately leave a game, your right to reconnect is removed.
Floop may be unavailable, may change, or may be unable to restore a room after a disconnect or expiry.
3. Floop+
Floop+ is an optional mobile-app add-on. Floop+ features are cosmetic or convenient and do not change the rules, cards, scoring or gameplay.
Some Floop+ features, including custom avatars, require a valid purchase entitlement from the relevant Apple or Google app store. Floop does not require a separate Floop account for ordinary play. Store purchases are also subject to the applicable platform's terms and billing rules.
4. Custom avatars
Eligible Floop+ players may upload a custom avatar where the feature is available. Images are deliberately small, resized and processed for file safety. The original upload is not retained as the room avatar, and processed avatars are temporary.
You must own an image or have permission to use it. Do not upload illegal, abusive, obscene, hateful, threatening, private or infringing material, or anything that exploits or harms another person.
Floop is not a general content-moderated social platform and does not routinely review room activity, display names or custom avatars for appropriateness. Floop may reject or remove a file that cannot be safely processed, or take limited action where needed to operate or secure the service, comply with law, or respond to a serious safety or abuse issue. You remain responsible for what you provide.
5. Your responsibilities
Do not use Floop to attack or disrupt the service, bypass access controls, impersonate another person, invade someone's privacy, distribute illegal material, or use a room to threaten or harm someone.
Keep room codes and reconnect access under your control. You are responsible for activity carried out through a room or session you share.
6. Protecting the service
Floop may limit, disconnect or block access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, other players, or the operator; to investigate a serious security or abuse issue; or to comply with law. Because rooms and sessions are temporary, Floop may not be able to investigate or reverse every incident.
For a serious issue, contact help@floopcards.co.uk with the room code and approximate time if you have them. Do not send unnecessary personal information. Floop is not an emergency-response service.
7. Ownership
Floop, its name, game rules, software, visual design and original materials belong to the operator or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.
You keep ownership of material you submit, subject to the limited permission Floop needs to process and display it temporarily as part of the service.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer right or liability that cannot legally be limited.
